MANAGING NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ACCORDING TO IRS GUIDELINES
Executive Directors are responsible for managing nonprofit organizations according to IRS guidelines in order to retain the 501(c)(3) status. This class will teach Executive Directors three major nonprofit management functions: 1) human resource management; 2) financial management; and 3)image management.
Specifically, regarding human resource management, Executive Directors will learn how to create job descriptions, recruit team members, prepare team members for success, and monitor their performance.
In terms of financial management duties, they will learn how to develop budgets, create financial reports, and submit IRS information reports in a timely manner.
Finally, Executive Directors will learn the importance of image management for their nonprofit organizations through financial transparency, advertising, pleasant behavior, and integrity.
