Purchase Handouts

Thanks for registering to attend the “How to Start a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization” class! This is the PERFECT time to start a 501(c)(3) nonprofit for two reasons:

  • corporate CEO’s have pledged to invest millions of dollars into nonprofit organizations this year
  • the IRS changed the User Fee to process 501(c)(3) applications to $600 from $850

Purchase Handouts

The purpose of the “How to Start a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization” class is to teach you the 20 steps to follow when completing the application packet. In addition, you will learn how to complete the new “Form 1023: Application for Recognition of Exemption” that the IRS revised in December 2017. The Form 1023 is the official application you must complete in order to earn 501(c)(3) status.

I will use the following handouts to facilitate the class:

  • Sample IRS Letters
  • Hands-On Activities

The packet of handouts is only $5 to cover the printing fees. I will only order handouts for people who purchase them in advance because it is a violation of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library System’s guidelines for people to sell merchandise on the premises. Therefore, I will NOT have extra handouts to provide for people who choose not to purchase the handouts in advance.

Since I changed my teaching schedule to a quarterly instead of a monthly basis, this is the only time I will be teaching this class this year.
